Bishop Peter LeeShannon Sherwood Johnston is the Bishop of the Church in Virginia and thus the Pastor of  St. Mark’s as well as all other Parishes and Missions of the Church or Diocese of Virginia. Bishop Johnston became the XIII Bishop of Virginia on October 1, 2009 after having been bishop coadjutor for two and one-half years. Consecrated bishop at the Washington National Cathedral on May 26, 2007, Bishop Johnston came to the Diocese of Virginia from Tupelo, Mississippi where he had been rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church for 13 years.  More
 
Margaret Watson Margaret Watson is the Priest and 17th Rector at  St. Mark’s. As Priest and Rector, she serves as representative of the Bishop at St. Mark's. Margaret and her husband Joel (who is also a priest) have both been very active members of the Church in Dioceses from Long Island to California, and find Richmond an exceptional place to be. Margaret is passionate about authentic and joyful liturgy and truly believes that lay ministry and leadership are essential for a healthy church. Margaret worked as a museum curator and educator for a decade before she entered ordained ministry. Read the current monthly letter from the Rector.
 
 
Buck Aiken Charles Aiken is the Assistant Rector of St. Mark's. "Buck" as he is affectionately called, and his wife, Bobbie, have been part of this church most of their lives. Buck retired from Scott and Stringfellow. The Aikens have two grown children. Buck leads the Wednesday night Bible study and oversees our many outreach programs, while Bobbie sings in the choir.
 
 
Edgar Adams Edgar Adams, Priest Associate, and his wife Becky, came to St. Mark's in 1998.  Edgar, a former rector of a church in Philadelphia for 33 years, preaches, teaches, and actively contributes to the worship services. Becky, a social worker by profession, is a very active member of our parish, and belongs to the choir.
